Little grooms you can do at home.

Groomer brushing a calm dog

You don't need a salon setup to keep your dog comfortable between appointments. Three five-minute habits cover ninety percent of home grooming.

Brush a little, often

Short daily brushing beats a monthly battle. Work in the direction of the coat, reward stillness with a treat every minute, and stop while it's still fun — you can always finish tomorrow.

A dog that trusts the brush trusts the groomer. Calm hands, every time.

Ears and eyes, weekly

Lift each ear flap, look for redness or odour, and wipe only the visible folds with a damp cotton pad — never poke inside. Wipe away sleep from eye corners with a separate damp pad per eye.

Nails: the sound test

If you hear clicking on hard floors, nails are overdue. Trim tiny amounts often rather than a lot rarely, and keep styptic powder nearby. Nervous? Our nail trims include a free confidence-building first session.
