Everything families usually ask before choosing a puppy — answered the way we'd answer over the fence.
Are your puppies vet-checked before going home?
Yes. Every puppy is examined twice by our vet, receives first vaccinations, is microchipped and leaves with a signed health record plus a written health guarantee. You're welcome to call our vet to confirm anything.
Can we visit before choosing a puppy?
Please do — visits are by appointment Tuesday to Saturday so each family gets unhurried time. You'll meet the litter, mum, and see exactly how our dogs live. Book a visit here.
What is included in the purchase price?
Health papers, vaccinations, microchip, a starter food pack, a blanket that smells like home, and lifetime advice. Each puppy's page in the shop lists its exact price — no hidden extras, ever.
Do you offer training after adoption?
Every family gets a free first training class, and weekly puppy classes run year-round. Alderbrook dogs are welcome back to classes for life at a family rate.
Which breed is right for my family?
Tell us about your home, hours and energy levels and we'll advise honestly — including telling you if none of our breeds fits. Collies need a job, bulldogs need a sofa, dachshunds need stairs managed. Ask us.
How do your grooming services work?
Book by phone or enquiry form; first grooms include a calm introduction session so nervous dogs learn the routine. See General Grooming for what's included.
What food do you recommend?
Every puppy goes home on the food it was raised on, with a transition plan. For tailored advice by age, breed and budget, see Diet & Nutrition.
What if our circumstances change after adoption?
Call us first. Our contract asks that any Alderbrook dog who can't stay comes back to us — no judgment, no time limit. We'll always take our dogs back.
Do you ship puppies?
No. We don't cargo-ship puppies — collection in person (or by your nominated courier meeting us here) keeps the handover calm and lets us show you everything face to face.
How do I pay, and is my payment secure?
Reserve online through our secure checkout (shop), which uses the store's connected payment gateway — we never see or store your card details. Balances can also be settled at collection.
